Who I am & what I do

I’m Alexander Martiny, a Hispanic student from Guatemala with a multicultural background. My passion for technology drove me to create two STEM labs at Cadaniño, a nonprofit serving vulnerable children. I raised $13,000, purchased equipment, trained teachers, and continue to mentor students. Since building the first STEM lab, 260 students have received hundreds of classes and been inspired to complete almost 1,500 projects. I hold certifications from Google, Meta, and IBM in areas like data analytics, web development, and cybersecurity. At school, I manage 3D printers, serve as a physics class rep, and participate in service work. I believe success means lifting others up. For me, STEM is a tool for empowerment and building a better future.

The Impact

Thanks to the funds I helped raise and the work I put into setting up and equipping two STEM learning labs for vulnerable children in Guatemala, here’s what we’ve accomplished so far by the teachers I've trained:

276

Classes taught to at-risk students

260

Students receiving STEM classes every week

1443

Projects completed by students
